This is a spot and stalk hunt (rifle) from a pickup for a Cow Elk Hunt for 1 hunter on the Wagonhound Ranch in Douglas, Wyoming. Additional hunter welcome-$3,100. The hunt would be a 2 on 1 hunt if the successful bidder & the additional hunter would be hunting together. You will be hunting with Al Gehrt, Board Member of the National Bighorn Sheep Center in Dubois, WY and Wagonhound Outfitter, Dax McCarty. Beautiful lodging accommodations will be provided on the ranch by the Wagonhound. Food will be provided by Al Gehrt and his crew. Meat processing is available in Douglas and Al can pick you up and drop you off at the airport in Casper, WY.
Hunt Dates - December 8-10, 2025. Arrive at the ranch on 12/7. Depart 12/11. Successful bidder will need to apply for an Area 7 Type 4 elk tag in the Wyoming non-resident elk application period in January, 2025. Not included-guide tip (approx. $300).
This hunt is donated by the Wagonhound Ranch and Dax McCarty. Wagonhound Land & Livestock is a working ranch spanning 300,000 acres raising some of the Country's top American Quarter Horses & Red Angus cattle. 100% of the proceeds from this item are earmarked for the support of Camp Bighorn Conservation Camp put on by the National Bighorn Sheep Center in Dubois, WY.
