Great Grey Canadian timberwolves are extremely shy, intelligent, & can be very difficult to hunt. Unlike bears, sitting over a bait expecting to shoot a wolf can be next to impossible. KapRiver Outfitters has developed a unique hunting system over the last 30 years that produces results. A typical day will begin by checking known wolf sites by truck and snow machines. If there are fresh tracks, your guide will run a perimeter & if it's determined the wolves are bedded down within the block, you will be placed in strategic positions to await the "Drive". A tracker will then track the animals on snowshoes & the chase is on. This is when the action begins. The wolves may try to elude the tracker, eventually get frustrated and break towards the hunters. The anticipation of being on stand and waiting for Canada's most elusive of predators to appear before you is an experience you will not forget .Not included- License-$150 & tag-$250. Extra animals-fox & coyote. Extra hunter-$3,000, non-hunter-$1,500. Weapon-hunters choice. 5 days/6 nights. Hunt date - Mid-December 2024 through March 2025.
Wolf hunters stay at the main house with private den, tv, satellite, wifi, bedrooms, kitchen & showers. Self serve breakfast is available. A bag lunch is provided for you. A very filling Northern supper is created by Terry upon your return.
